KEGEL Staff Restructuring

Kegel’s existing Quality Control Manager, April Berneche, and Customer Service Supervisor, Tawni Vollmer, will be assuming new roles at Kegel.

Beginning August 1, 2023, Tawni Vollmer will start her training to take over the role of Controller following the retirement of Anna Hall at the end of 2023. As Vollmer begins her training, April Berneche will resume her previous role as Customer Service Supervisor. Berneche will now manage both the Quality and Customer Service Teams and be the main point of contact for Distributors worldwide. Vollmer and Berneche will work together for a smooth transition to avoid any negative impact on customers.

April started at Kegel in 2000 as a receptionist and helped in customer service, purchasing, receiving, and various other areas of the Operations team until becoming the Customer Service Supervisor in 2003. As Kegel grew, April worked to learn and define the company's international shipping processes. For almost two decades, she was the main point of contact for all Kegel Distributors (domestic and international) and Military customers. She processed orders for parts, supplies, and lane machines, handled all orders related to tournaments, created and received lane machine work orders, and worked closely with the warehouse and production teams to ensure all customer needs were taken care of. In 2021, April was promoted to Quality Manager; she shifted her focus to all aspects of the Kegel Quality system, including product change requests, corrective actions, audits, and quality documentation.

John Thrift, Kegel’s VP of Operations shares, “We are thankful to have a versatile person like April on our team. I am confident she will take the changes implemented by Tawni over the last couple of years and continue to build on them using her 20+ years of experience and knowledge."
