Lane Machine Shipments

Dear Distributor,

We have noticed recent issues with freight claims on lane machines and have implemented some new processes to help with these. Please see below for details about the changes and how this affects our Distributors and Customers.

Lane Machine Crate Shipments:

We have been working on new methods to secure lane machines in the crates for shipment. Our team is in the process of testing several options to see what works best. We will alert you of any relevant changes once a new process is finalized.

Tip N Tell Indicator:

Recently, we have noticed mishandling of the machines by freight carriers. To help with this, we have started to include a “tip n tell” indicator on the outside of the crate.  Please see images below. The “sticker” notifies the shipper and receiver that there is an indicator being used on the shipment. The “TnT-Indicator-Normal” shows what the indicator looks like when it leaves our warehouse. If there are blue beads at the top of the triangle (as shown in Tnt-Indicator-Tipped), this indicates that the shipment has been tipped or mishandled.

“Tipped” Indicator

We ask that you please familiarize yourself with this indicator and check it when your shipments are received. Please check this BEFORE the crate is opened since sometimes damages cannot be seen on the outside of the crate. If a lane machine is being drop shipped directly to a customer’s center, please inform them to check this indicator as well.

What to do if indicator is blue in the top triangle?

  • If possible, sign for this freight as “possible internal damages”.

  • Take a picture of the indicator and of the machine inside the crate once it is opened.

  • Look carefully at the machine and take any pictures of the damages to the machine itself.

  • Email all images and shipment information to tech@kegel.net

We appreciate your support in handling any issues. The information provided will help us file a freight claim with the shipping company and get any needed replacement items to the customer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us for more information.

Best Regards,
Gus Falgien
